Lizzy grew up in Nottingham and is now based in York, North Yorkshire.
Over the past decade, Lizzy has made a career out of wearing a number of creative hats. Predominantly she is a theatre maker, movement director/dance artist, director and facilitator with expertise in delivering creative workshops with young people and adults. Over the past decade Lizzy has worked in community, education, theatre, and dance settings.
Lizzy makes work through collaboration and play that combines visual, textual and physical languages. Process is at the heart of her performances and play is at the heart of her process. Lizzy wants to create work to change, challenge and inspire, where everyone is an artist.
Lizzy received her training from York St John University and graduated with a First-Class Degree in Theatre, specialising in contemporary performance making. She has also received a number of awards for her creatives works including:
- York Theatre Royal Graduate Prize, 2014.
- York Culture Award, 2015.
- Clothworker Award, 2016.
